LASER based conservation
LASER technology is being used worldwide for the conservation and cleaning of historical buildings and artefacts. The reason for this is that the light is adjusted so that it is not invasive and does not damage the original art or architecture. With LASERs, precision and control it is possible that unwanted material is destroyed but the original material remains unharmed. Examples are calcium oxalate on marble, gilding on bronze and other materials in antique documents and textiles.

The above workshops are suitable for students considering their hands-on experience in LASER machinery. These are of small duration workshops that can be included as add-on courses in their curriculum or as weekend activities.
- Group discounts for more than 5 participants
- Eligibility for Workshop on LASER based conservation: Participants enrolled for conservation related workshops may be Museum Curators, Museum Managers, Students of Conservation, Students of Archaeology, Conservation Architects, Contractors, and Students of Fine Arts.
- Eligibility for other Workshops: Preferably 12th Pass, undergraduate students from technical/professional courses.
